The Ghana Business Awards is a Prestigious Awards Programme organized every year to recognise and reward excellence across business sectors in the country. It also recognises the contribution of various sector players towards developing enterprise and economic growth in the country. The event themed; "Promoting Investment in Ghana and Africa." marks the fifth-anniversary celebration of the awards, and had over 258 nominations with 60 individuals and organisations were shortlisted and was chaired by Madam Samia Nkrumah and had the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Mark Okraku-Mantey as the guest speaker. It also had in attendance the Spanish Ambassador to Ghana, Mr Javier Gutiérrez, Mr Charles Abani, the United Nations Resident Coordinator as well as Mr Sugandh Rajaram, the Indian High Commissioner to Ghana. The Ghana Business Awards event seeks to celebrate achievement, innovation and brilliance within the business environment of Ghana. M&C Logistics And Trading Limited was adjudged the Trading Company of the Year for the second time in a row, having previously won the first award at the 4th edition of the Ghana Business Awards.

On the same night, the President and Chairman of the Group, Mr. Michael Leslie Bartlett-Vanderpuye was honoured with the Entrepreneurial Excellence Award for having been in business for the past 15 years with businesses across The Globe with his formidable proficiency in Management and Corporate Finance. Mr. Michael Bartlett-Vanderpuye, an astute businessman, strives hard and believes that any achievement in life is based on hard work and in competing with oneself before competing with others. From opening a small business in a corner room to having a billion-dollar venture, his is a story that has been an inspiration to many especially young entrepreneurs.
